Pillsbury Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme Cookie Dough: Not Good Enough

Pillsbury Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme Big Deluxe Cookie Dough Review

In Pillsbury‘s words: Special Edition. Natural and artificially flavored. Please do not eat raw.

pillsbury dough cookiesOh, shut up. We know we’re not supposed to eat it raw, but come on. We’ve done it for years. (Okay, I got scared and stopped doing that.)

This is only 12 cookies, preshaped in the tray. Bake 13 minutes on a tray in the oven. Easy peasy. They smelled like sugar and butter, good. But it stopped there.

They were…okay. I didn’t like the white chips much. Actually, I spit them out. But it was a quick easy snack. I would buy these again (on sale only.)

Hershey's white chocolate chips
these white chocolate chips are bad

Was this delightful?

No. It was sugary. Popping them in the oven was easy, however.

Store: Toluca Lake Vons. They have all the prepackaged fresh dough cookies laid out in an attractive way.

If you can’t find it in a grocery store near you, (which you should be able to do) you might be able to get it from Amazon. They have the chocolate chip ready to bake dough there, which is probably better, anyway. I didn’t see this one there – it might be discontinued.

Top Ingredients: Sugar, bleached flour (stop bleaching flour, people!), sugar, nonfat milk, partially hydrogenated vegetable oil, palm kernel oil…(Now, reading this, maybe it’s not that great for you.)

walmart wants us to know how big the package is
This made me laugh. I guess in the effort to be transparent, Walmart wants to give us exact measurements of the product. So they compare the package of cookies to the human body.  🙂

What Others Say about Pillsbury Hershey’s Cookies ‘n Creme Ready to Bake Cookie Dough

I found some reviews on Walmart.  3 stars out of 5.

Yummy in my tummy! We love these cookies and have started using them as the snack at all our get togethers.

A lil expensive for 12 cookies. (I hate it when people say lil. You’re not cute.)

Weird smell that was especially noticeable during the baking.

And from Pillsbury‘s own page:

Not sure, why others have negative things to say…..These cookies are delicious! Pleaseeeeee Pleaseeeeee, Pleaseeeeee, bring these cookies back. They were literally my favorite ever.

Signed up just to write this review to warn people, don’t buy. Pillsbury does put out some good cookies. But these just taste like a protein shake with lard. Stay away please,

What do you think? Will you be trying it out?

NOTE: These may be discontinued.
